MDS Land Project (MDSLP) a Tennessee-based consulting and development firm specializing in luxury hospitality, resort, residential, and infrastructure projects was founded in 2019 by Matt Smith.

Matt began his career at an environmental engineering firm performing due diligence to support development projects in the Southeast United States. He then served as Director of Development for Blackberry Farm for many years and was instrumental in creating the master development plan and overseeing the full build of Blackberry Mountain prior to breaking out on his own to assist other clients building luxury resorts and homes.

MDSLP currently is the owner’s representative for several Relais & Châteaux and other high-end destinations in TN, NC, VT, VA, NY, AZ, GA, WY, and the Bahamas, delivering full owner’s representation services including master planning, design coordination, entitlements, construction oversight, and resort branded residential development.
